QuickBooks Bookkeeper

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our three growing companies. This position entails a variety of responsibilities, including handling purchases, recurring payment processing, sales, receipts, and payments. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have proficiency in QuickBooks software. This role involves collaboration with our owner to create and analyze financial reports, ensure legal compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage various financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Verify accurate recording in daybooks, supplier ledgers, customer ledgers, and the general ledger.
  • Bring financial records to the trial balance stage.
  • Match expenses to customers, conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, and process check deposits.
  • Work closely with client payments to ensure services are performed.
  • Reconcile credit card statements and process payroll through ADP.
  • Enter data, maintain records, and generate reports and financial statements.
  • Handle accounts receivable/payable promptly.
  • Perform human resources, clerical, and receptionist duties as needed.
  • Answer phones, file documents, and conduct other data entry tasks in our Marketing firm.
  • Ensure office organization and filing of invoices.
  • Find gaps, expenses we do not need etc. 


Requirements:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience with references.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Hands-on experience with Excel or Google spreadsheets and QuickBooks online.
  • Proficiency in English, Google Drive, and/or MS Office products.
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
