Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card or personal data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

We are in compliance with all the requirements of COPPA. We will not collect information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our products, services and website are directed toward individuals over the age of 13.

Credit card information

We do not store your credit card information directly. It is passed through to a third-party credit card processing merchant using 128-bit SSL encryption. We only keep your credit card’s brand, last 4 digits and expiration date to assist and remind you of any billing related issues.

Personal sensitive information

We capture and store your personal sensitive information securely in transit and at rest. We consider personal information such as social security numbers and date of birth as highly sensitive data and take the necessary security measures to protect it. The following measures are taken to protect your personal sensitive information;

Securing data in transit:

All your information is transferred or communicated over a Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTPS) using encryption by Secure Socket Layer (SSL). This applies to all information communicated through our API, Hosted Forms and within the online application we provide.

Securing data at rest:

We also encrypt sensitive information at rest. This means data such as social security numbers and birth dates are encrypted using the AES encryption algorithm when in a state of rest, such as database storage. Therefore, the data will be encrypted in case of a database breach.

Additional Security Measurements:

We also take the following additional steps to secure information stored in our database(s):

  • Our databases cannot be accessed directly from outside of our web servers. The necessary steps have been taken to close any port exposing access to our database externally.
  • We also maintain a 30-retention policy on our database backups.
